Two rearrested over Guildford pensioner fire death

Slyfield Court Frederyk Kucharski, 92, died five days after the fire

Two people have been rearrested by police following the death of a man in a house fire in Surrey last weekend.

Frederyk Kucharski, 92, was rescued from the blaze in the Slyfield Green area of Guildford, on 6 July, but died in hospital on Thursday.

A post-mortem examination confirmed he died as a result of the fire.

A woman, 37, and a man, 25, who were initially held on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, were rearrested on suspicion of murder.
