Teen arrested over Sunbury woodland attack

A teenager has been arrested after a man in his 50s was attacked in woodland near a lay-by in Surrey.

The man was found with serious head injured in the lay-by on the A316 at Sunbury on Thames on 10 June.

He was taken to St Mary's hospital in Paddington, London. He has since been discharged.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and has been released on bail until 31 July.
