Second Knaphill attempted abduction suspect quizzed

A second man has been arrested over the attempted abduction of a child in the Knaphill area of Surrey.

A 47-year-old man from Chertsey was arrested in the Goldsworth Park area on Saturday. He was questioned and later released on police bail.

Officers are investigating after a 12-year-old girl was approached by a man in a green vehicle in Inkerman Road, Knaphill, on 13 May.

A 27-year-old man was arrested two days later and bailed pending inquiries.

Officers were also investigating possible links between the incident and two others involving five-year-old and 10-year old girls in the same village.

However, on Monday Det Ch Insp Karen Mizzi said there had been no further incidents reported.
