Man flees scene of A3 collision near Esher

The driver of a car involved in a two-vehicle collision in which two women were injured is being sought by police.

The crash on the southbound carriageway of the A3 near Esher Common happened at about 23:30 BST on Sunday.

A man believed to have been driving one of the cars - a Toyota Previa - was seen fleeing the scene on foot after the collision with a Peugeot 308.

Police said they were trying to locate him and suggested he could have flagged down another car further down the A3.

Anyone who saw him or who witnessed the crash is asked to call officers.

The women suffered minor injuries and were discharged at the scene by paramedics.
