Man's body found in crashed van in Bletchingley

A man's body has been found in a van after it crashed into a wall in a Bletchingley lay-by.

Surrey Police said officers spotted the the van at about 13:15 GMT while they were driving along Castle Street, sometime after the collision.

South East Coast Ambulance was called but the man, who was in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the collision is under investigation and officers are trying to locate his next of kin.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Surrey Police.
