A father who is in remission from testicular cancer and his nine-month-old son are fronting a national awareness campaign.

Huw Allanson, from Lingfield, Surrey was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 18 and endured nine rounds of intensive chemotherapy and losing his left testicle.

He was given a 5% chance of having children, but his partner Lizi gave birth to Ryan last year, after a natural conception.

Colin Osbourne, of cancer charity Orchid, said cancer was once a taboo subject and, while there is now more awareness, work still needs to be done.
