Girl, 12, hit by car in Epsom

A 12-year-old girl has been treated in hospital for head injuries after being hit by a car in Epsom.

Surrey Police said the girl was hit by a silver Vauxhall Corsa at about 15:30 GMT on Monday in Longmead Road.

Medics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service treated the girl at the scene for what were believed to be non-life threatening head injuries.

She was then transferred to St George's Hospital in Tooting, London. Witnesses are being asked to contact the police.
