Police seek burglar who absconded from Guildford bail hostel

Jamie Bolton Jamie Bolton was jailed in 2009 for burglary and robbery

Police are hunting a convicted burglar who is suspected of absconding from a bail hostel in Guildford.

They say Jamie Bolton breached the conditions of his prison-release licence when he failed to return to the hostel on 15 November.

He was serving a four-and-a-half-year sentence for burglaries and robberies in the Woking and Godalming areas.

The 31-year-old was released from jail on 31 October on condition he stayed at the hostel.

Det Supt Jon Savell, of Surrey Police, said: "By not returning to the bail hostel for several days, Bolton has breached the conditions of his licence and is now wanted on recall to prison."

Bolton was wearing a black hooded top with a picture on the front and blue jeans, and was carrying a bright yellow jacket when he absconded.

He was jailed in August 2009 for two burglaries in Woking and robberies at off-licences in nearby West End and Godalming.
