Two charged over Walton football stadium attack

Two men have been charged after a man was attacked following a football match in Surrey in September.

The victim suffered head injuries in the incident at the main gate of the Walton stadium, in Stompond Lane, after Walton had played against Brentwood.

The men, aged 45 and 47, from Essex, have been released on bail to appear before North Surrey magistrates on 4 December charged with common assault.

It is understood the victim was a Walton supporter.
