Man sought over Farnham Golf Club trophy raid
The raid at Farnham Golf Club, in Blighton Lane, took place at about 20:45 BST on 2 October
CCTV images of a man sought in connection with a burglary at a Surrey golf club have been released by police.
Nineteen historic trophies and cups - many solid silver, and one dating back more than 100 years - were stolen from Farnham Golf Club on 2 October.
Hooded and masked burglars were captured on CCTV removing a patio door, smashing a glass cabinet and fleeing.
Det Con James Hilton urged the man in the image, or anyone who recognised him, to call Surrey Police.
The haul from the raid in Blighton Lane included the Silver Frigate Trophy, the 116-year-old club's emblem, thought to cost £100,000 to replace.
Other stolen cups included the Bateman Cup presented by the club's captain in 1925, the Spreckley Cup, presented in 1915, and the distinctive, large Victory Cup from 1945.
