Teenager arrested over Guildford stabbing murder

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a 19-year-old man to death in Surrey.

The man suffered fatal knife wounds during a confrontation at a property in Roundhill Way, Guildford, at about 19:45 BST on Saturday.

Surrey Police said emergency teams called to the scene tried to revive the man, but he was pronounced dead.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder a short time later.

He was treated at the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford for a minor injury before being taken into police custody for questioning.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a 19-year-old man in Guildford yesterday evening.

"A cordon has been put in place while inquiries are carried out by officers from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team.

"Anyone with information is asked call Surrey Police."

The force has not revealed the identity of the man who was stabbed to death.
