Driver followed and racially abused in Frimley

A motorist was followed by the occupants of another car and subjected to shouts of racial abuse as she drove through Surrey.

Surrey Police said the driver, who was in her 20s, was abused by people in a Ford Focus in Frimley Road, Frimley and Camberley and the A30 in Blackwater.

The force said the occupants of the car started shouting at the victim after they pulled up behind her car.

PC Andy Jenkins said: "This was a very upsetting ordeal for the victim."

He added: "Racially aggravated offences of this nature will not be tolerated by Surrey Police and we are determined to find those responsible and bring them to justice."

The force has appealed for witnesses to the incident which happened at about 17:00 BST on Wednesday.
