Cyclist dies after crash with lorry in Walton-on-Thames

A cyclist has died after suffering head injuries in a collision with a skip lorry in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

The 79-year-old man was taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting, south London, following the accident, in Rydens Road, but he died later.

A stretch of the road between Devoke Way and Meadowside was closed while police accident investigators examined the scene.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision to contact officers.
