Argentina has become the latest nation to sign up to use Surrey Sports Park as a training venue before London 2012.

The nation's Paralympic athletes will train at the Guildford venue in August.

They will be preparing for a number of events including boccia, football, judo, power lifting, tennis, swimming and table tennis.

Argentina will be the 7th Paralympic nation to train at Surrey Sports Park this summer, joining 11 Olympic teams including GB, USA, Nigeria and Spain.

Paul Blanchard, chief executive of the venue, said: "We are delighted to welcome Argentina to our impressive line-up of teams training at Surrey Sports Park."

Part of the 2012 Olympic cycle road race will be taking place in Surrey.

About 15,000 spectators are expected in the area around Box Hill for the men's and women's events.

The race takes cyclists through London, before heading out to Surrey and then returning to The Mall.
