Surrey Police officers suspended on suspicion of fraud

Two senior serving Surrey Police officers have been suspended from duty following their arrest on suspicion of committing fraud offences.

Surrey Police said they had been released on bail until March.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission said the matter would be locally managed.

Officers from Sussex Police have been appointed to lead the investigation, working closely with Surrey Police's Professional Standards Department.
