Eurostar train services halted by Kent gas leak

Eurostar trains were temporarily halted following a gas leak near the high-speed rail line in Kent.

The firm said services were suspended between Britain and France at about 14:00 GMT because of a leak in Rainham.

Two trains were held at Ashford and Ebbsfleet, with other services held at Brussels and St Pancras stations.

A spokesman said services resumed at about 14:45 GMT and Eurostar expected passenger delays to be kept to a minimum.
