Surrey adoption appeal for 21 families to come forward

An appeal for 21 families to come forward and adopt children has been made by Surrey County Council.

The authority said it was specifically looking for those who could offer a home to older children, siblings or children with specific health issues.

Mary Angell, cabinet member for children and families, said people from "all walks of life" were welcome.

"What we really need are people who can offer children a loving and supportive family for life," she said.
