An elderly man found dead at a house in Surrey had received a fatal stab wound to the heart, police said.
The 75-year-old was found at a residential property in Effingham, Surrey, in the early hours of Saturday.
A 67-year-old woman from Effingham was arrested on suspicion of the man's murder on Saturday and remains in police custody.
Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death, a Surrey Police spokeswoman said.
Warning for motorists after snow
Motorists are advised to take extra care after light snowfall overnight across the county.
