Lakenheath death crash: Man charged

A man has been charged with causing death by drink driving after a car passenger was killed in a crash in Suffolk.

John Joe Scott, 22, of Wingfield Road, Lakenheath, died after the Ford Focus hit a tree in Undley Road on 19 October.

The car driver, Steven Samuel, 21, of Soham in Cambridgeshire, was treated for his injuries and later arrested.

He is due before magistrates in Bury St Edmunds on 2 September.

He has been charged with causing death by careless driving while under the influence of alcohol.
