Great Barton crash: Sons' pay tribute to parents

The sons of a couple killed in a collision between a car and a lorry have paid tribute to their "kind, generous and unassuming" parents.

Lindsay Wise, 85, and Georgina Wise, 87, of Michaelhouse Way, Stanton, were killed in the crash on the A143 at Great Barton last Wednesday.

Their sons, Jeff and Laurie, said it was a "tragic" loss.

"They brought us into this world and looked after us all, unfaltering, for more than 60 years," they said.

"We now have to let them go, thankfully together, and with tremendous gratitude for their love, guidance and devotion."

The crash happened at about 10:45 GMT on the A143 in Great Barton.

The couple, who were in a Renault Megane, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the HGV had no serious injuries.

Suffolk Police has asked for witnesses to come forward.
