North Sea rescue: 'We're lucky be alive,' says skipper

15 January 2014 Last updated at 14:33 GMT

The skipper of a boat which sank in the North Sea after a fire broke out said he and his two-man crew were lucky to be alive.

Mick Latham said it had been frightening when the ECC Topaz went up in flames 10 miles (16km) off the Suffolk coast.

"When I see pictures of the boat, I'm quite lucky, I think, to still be here," he said.

None of the crew was hurt.
