Kentford's 'Rubbish Friends' tidy up roadsides

Volunteer litter-pickers who opted to act rather than moan have been targeting trouble-spots in their community.

Once a week the Rubbish Friends collect up to 15 bags of litter in and around Kentford near Newmarket in Suffolk.

Their efforts are supported by the local council, which sends out a truck to pick up the bags.
