A performance of a pantomime had a happy ending when one of the actor's proposed to his girlfriend on stage.
Dan de Cruz, 33, has been playing the role of King Rat in Dick Whittington at the New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich.
Towards the end of Saturday's performance, he popped the question to Sarah Mahoney, who was in the audience and said "yes".
"I'm over the moon that I got to propose to her in a fairytale way," Mr de Cruz said.
The actor performed a song he had written for Miss Mahoney, 32, with the help of the cast of the show.
The couple, who live in London, had met in Leeds on the set of another pantomime - when Miss Mahoney played Princess Lotus Blossom and Mr de Cruz was Aladdin.
"We've spent a couple of fantastic years together," Mr de Cruz said.
He said he was thrilled to have the 400 audience members on their feet "cheering us on".
"It's not everyday you get to marry your princess," he said.
It proved to be a romantic few weeks for those involved with the theatre's musical pantomimes.
In December, two actors who met in the previous year's show got engaged on Ipswich Waterfront, as the cast of Dick Whittington sang Stand By Me.
