Sudbury chemical alert over woman's death

The death of an 83-year-old woman in Suffolk sparked a chemical alert after emergency crews found a bottle of liquid in the house.

The body of the woman was found in Salisbury Terrace in Sudbury on Saturday afternoon.

A cordon was placed around the house over safety concerns and fire crews in protective clothing attended.

Police said the death was being treated as unexplained and there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

The road was closed during the investigation and the cordon was lifted at 02:35 BST.
