A man serving a robbery sentence at Suffolk's open prison has been charged with escaping from lawful custody.

Suffolk Police issued an alert after Mark Donnison, 43, was reported as missing from HMP Hollesley Bay near Woodbridge on 15 July.

He was arrested in Ipswich on Friday and returned to the prison system.

Donnison, who was serving an indeterminate sentence for robbery and assault, is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court in August.

He has yet to enter a plea.
