The Port of Felixstowe's new £40m rail terminal was officially opened by the Duke of York.
Officials say it will help to ensure that the Suffolk complex remains at the heart of global shipping and cut congestion on key routes like the A14.
Prince Andrew said the new nine-track terminal, part of a £300m expansion, was a fantastic investment by operator Hutchison Ports.
