Two men bailed in Suffolk school laptop theft inquiry

Laptop (generic) Thieves have targeted mainly smaller, rural schools in south Suffolk

Two Essex men have been bailed by police investigating the theft of 268 laptops from schools across Suffolk.

Equipment worth about £100,000 has been taken in 29 burglaries at rural schools over the past year.

A 25-year-old from Frinton-on-Sea and a 21-year-old from Jaywick were arrested yesterday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary and are due to return to a police station in July.

Another 25-year-old from Frinton has already been released on police bail.

The equipment has been taken mainly from schools in south and west Suffolk, including East Bergholt, Holbrook, Bentley, Bardwell, Monks Eleigh, Moulton, Rougham and Risby.
