Buttermarket Shopping Centre stabbing: Ipswich teenager bailed

A 17-year-old boy has been bailed by police investigating a stabbing in Ipswich town centre on Friday.

Officers found another 17-year-old boy at the Buttermarket Shopping Centre at 15:30 GMT. He was treated for a stab wound to his side at Ipswich Hospital.

A further 17-year-old was assaulted in Upper Brook Street and also treated in hospital for a facial injury.

The suspect was arrested on Saturday and has been released pending further enquiries.

The police said they were treating it as an attempted murder and grievous bodily harm inquiry.
