Bury St Edmunds homecoming parade for soldiers


Members of 1 Royal Tank Regiment marked their return from Afghanistan with a homecoming parade and a service of thanksgiving at Bury St Edmunds cathedral.

About 250 soldiers marched through the Suffolk town before being presented with Operation Herrick campaign medals by the Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk, Lord Tollemache.

1 Royal Tank Regiment, which is based at RAF Honington, has spent the last 10 months on the frontline in Helmand Province.
