Ipswich organist David Templing in court on child porn charge

An organ teacher who ran a music shop in Ipswich has appeared in court charged with making indecent photographs of children and voyeurism.

David Templing, 54, of Manor Road, Martlesham Heath is charged with nine counts of making photographs or pseudo-photographs between 2005 and 2011.

He is also charged with recording a private act without the other person's consent. He is yet to enter a plea.

Ipswich magistrates have committed him to the town's crown court.

The charges follow the discovery of nearly 6,000 images by the police.

Mr Templing used to run Haven Keyboards on Felixstowe Road.

He performed concerts locally and had also released several CDs of organ music.

He has been remanded on bail.
