Woman dead in crash on A14 in Suffolk

A woman has died in a crash in Suffolk involving a car, a van and a lorry.

The collision happened at 10:20 BST on the A14 at Nacton. The driver of the car, believed to be in her thirties, died at the scene.

A 43-year-old male lorry driver from Feltham, Middlesex, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The westbound carriageway of the A14 was closed for several hours for investigations and vehicle recovery.

The ambulance service and air ambulance attended the scene. There are not thought to be any other serious injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.
