A man has been found guilty of killing a 43-year-old man in an Ipswich flat.

Sebastian Kornjaca, 22, of St Anthonys Crescent in Ipswich, was found not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter by the jury at Ipswich Crown Court.

The body of Lee Jackson, 43, was found at a flat in Chesterton Close in October. A post-mortem examination revealed he had been stabbed.

He is due to return to the court for sentencing on 31 May.

Det Ch Insp Neil Luckett, of Suffolk police, said: "He carried out a sustained violent attack resulting in the 27 stabs wounds, which eventually killed Lee Jackson.

"I hope that this verdict can bring some closure to Mr Jackson's family and friends and our thoughts are with them at this time."

Kornjaca pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of possessing an offensive weapon.
