Ipswich Borough Council election results: Labour gains

Labour has increased its majority at Ipswich Borough Council with four gains in the local elections.

Labour regained control of the council from a Conservative and Liberal Democrat alliance following the last round of elections in May 2011.

Labour now has 32 seats out of 48, having gained three from the Tories who have 12 and one from the Liberal Democrats who have four.

The average turnout across the borough was 29%.
