Husband speaks out on wife's assisted suicide
A man who helped his terminally ill wife to die has broken his silence about his arrest and the 15 months he spent on police bail.
Barrie Sheldon, from Worlingworth in Suffolk, was arrested by the Metropolitan Police after he admitted in a 2010 Newsnight programme that he helped his wife Elizabeth, a district nurse, prepare for a fatal overdose 30 years ago.
This week the issue of assisted dying was debated in Parliament but Mr Sheldon is angry. He says the politicians continue to fudge the issue and the law even now is confusing.
He says he continues to speak out so that others do not have to go through what he did.
