At least 11 people are to lose their jobs as two Suffolk transport providers go out of business.

Far East Travel has stopped running its two bus services between Ipswich and Framlingham, and coach hire company Gemini Travel will close on Friday.

Ed Nicholls, joint director of the companies, said rising petrol costs, a quiet Christmas and tighter lending from banks led to the decision.

Schools using Gemini coaches will have to make alternative arrangements.

Galloway Travel has taken over the running of the 118 and 119 services from Ipswich to Framlingham.
