Help

The escape of a prisoner who was being taken to hospital in Suffolk appeared to have been planned well in advance, say police.

Andrew Farndon, 26, who is described as dangerous, escaped when two guards were threatened at gunpoint as he arrived at the Bury St Edmunds Hospital on Wednesday night.

He is serving an indeterminate sentence for causing grievous bodily harm.
