Cyclist critical after crash on Willingham road

A teenage cyclist is in a critical condition in hospital after being in collision with a car on a Suffolk country road.

The crash happened near Beccles on Tuesday evening when the 14-year-old boy was cycling in Willingham.

Sotterly Road at the junction with the A145 was closed for several hours.

The youngster was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he was said to be in a critical but stable condition on Wednesday.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the collision to contact them.
