A canoeist who fell out of his boat into the sea has been rescued by Suffolk lifeboat and coastguard crews.

Great Yarmouth coastguard was called at about 1030 BST to reports of the capsized canoe in the Southwold harbour entrance.

Southwold lifeboat and Southwold and Lowestoft coastguard rescue teams were sent to the scene.

The lifeboat rescued the man, taking him to shore, before returning to pick up the canoe.

A spokeswoman for the coastguard said the canoeist was not injured.
