Retired Suffolk lecturer admits child porn charges

A retired lecturer from Suffolk has admitted making and possessing indecent images of children.

At Ipswich Crown Court, Kevin Pettican, 64, of Saxmundham, pleaded guilty to nine counts of making indecent images and one of possessing indecent images.

The court was told Pettican had been a lecturer in social work and child care at University Campus Suffolk in Ipswich.

The judge adjourned the hearing until later in September.
