Man from Ipswich extradited over girlfriend's death

A British man wanted in Spain on suspicion of murdering his girlfriend is to be extradited.

Christopher Chittock, 36, of Ipswich, Suffolk, was detained on a European arrest warrant last month on suspicion of killing Sarah Shields.

The body of the 23-year-old from Ipswich was found in Gran Canaria on 7 July. She was reported missing after failing to return from holiday.

The extradition was ordered at the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court.

It was ordered by Deputy Chief Magistrate Daphne Wickham.
