Men arrested after body found in Stoke-on-Trent woodland

Two men have been arrested after the body of a man was found in woodland.

The man, who has not been identified, was discovered near playing fields in Whittle Road, Meir in Stoke-on-Trent at about 10:15 BST, police said.

Staffordshire Police said it was treating his death as unexplained but a post mortem examination would be carried out on Friday.

Two men, aged 41 and 26, both from Stoke-on-Trent, were being questioned by detectives, police said.

The area has been cordoned off for forensic officers to carry out investigations.
