Nine people have appeared in court charged with aggravated trespass after a rooftop protest in Staffordshire.

The two-day protest at UAV Engines Ltd in Shenstone began on 6 August and forced the closure of the factory.

Four men and five women did not enter a plea when they appeared before Cannock magistrates earlier. They are from Sussex, Surrey, London and Manchester.

They were bailed and are due to appear in court again on October 6. UAV makes engines for unmanned aerial vehicles.
