Stoke death: Man denies Mark Everard's murder

A man has denied murdering a man whose body was discovered outside a house in Stoke.

Steven Mutch, 45, of Bishop Road, Chell Heath, pleaded not guilty to murdering Mark Everard, in Chell Heath in May, at Stafford Crown Court.

Mr Everard, 48, also of Bishop Road, was known to family and friends as Grass.

A post-mortem examination concluded he died of abdominal injuries. Mr Mutch will stand trial on 1 December.
