Man held over Leek police station roof climb

A man has been arrested after objects were thrown from the roof of a police station in Staffordshire.

Officers were called to deal with a man who had climbed on Leek police station at about 20:30 BST on Tuesday.

He was distressed and threw several items on to the ground, police said.

A number of streets were cordoned off around the station for several hours until he came down at 02:15 BST. A 29-year-old man was held on suspicion of criminal damage.
