Staffordshire carer Nadia Summers theft caught on CCTV

Summers admitted stealing from one of the women she was meant to be caring for

A carer who stole from the purse of an elderly woman has received a suspended 12 week sentence.

Nadia Summers, 24, of Chillington Drive, Codsall, admitted stealing from Lynette Nardone, from Perton.

She was ordered to do 180 hours community work and pay £1,060 compensation at Cannock Magistrates' Court.

Mrs Nardone had installed CCTV at home after becoming suspicious Summers was stealing from her.

The compensation is a similar amount to the combined cost of the CCTV camera installed and £60 stolen.
