Herbert Street fire: crews battle greenhouse blaze

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, Herbert Street Crews were called to Herbert Street at 14:20 GMT

Fire crews are tackling a blaze at three commercial greenhouses in Crewe.

A number of residents living near by the premises in Herbert Street have been evacuated.

Five crews are at the scene of the fire which is thought to have started shortly after 14:00 GMT. Traffic is being diverted from the area.

Nobody is thought to have been injured but thick black smoke has been blanketing the scene. It is not known how the fire started.
