Damien Fyson murder: Man charged over Hanley stab death

A man has been charged with murder over the death of a man who was found with a stab wound at a flat in Stoke-on-Trent.

Damien Fyson, 37, of Wainwright Walk, Hanley, was found in his home at 05:30 GMT on Wednesday.

Shaun Patrick Lacey, 40, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody by magistrates in Newcastle-Under-Lyme on Friday. He will appear at Stafford Crown Court on Tuesday.

Mr Fyson's mother, Cherie Fyson, said his death had "devastated" her family.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Fyson had died from a single stab wound to the chest.
