Hanley flat death: Four arrested on suspicion of murder

Four people are still being questioned in connection with the murder of a man at a flat in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police found the body of the 37-year-old in an apartment in Wainwright Walk, Hanley, at 05:30 GMT on Wednesday.

The victim is yet to be formally identified and officers were trying to trace his family, police said.

It said a man, 40, had been arrested on suspicion of murder. Two women, aged 42 and 61, and a man, 55, who all knew the victim, were also being held, it said.

All four remain in custody, Staffordshire police confirmed.

The force said Wainwright Walk had been cordoned off while forensic examinations and door-to-door inquiries were being carried out.
