More than 20 sites owned by a Staffordshire council have been earmarked for sale in a bid to save more than £7m.

Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council said the savings would be used to help develop social housing, replace recycling vehicles and tackle a property maintenance backlog.

The list includes the former Jubilee Baths in Newcastle town centre.

The council assets include 1,800 acres of land and 120 freehold buildings.

The former St Giles' and St George's school and old Knutton Recreation Centre in Newcastle are also among the sites up for sale.
