Driver killed in Staffordshire A38 lorry crash is named

A van driver who died in a crash with a lorry in Staffordshire has been named as Christopher Shaun Parrish.

The collision happened on the A38's southbound carriageway, between the north and south exits for Burton upon Trent, at 14:50 GMT on Monday.

Mr Parrish, 42, from Coalpit Lane in Rugeley, was declared dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the HGV was treated for shock but was uninjured. They are appealing for witnesses.

After the crash the road was closed until after 22:00 GMT while investigators examined the scene.
